Questions, answered.
The things people usually ask before starting a project. If yours isn't here, just get in touch.
Process & timeline
Custom design usually takes 1–4 weeks depending on complexity and revisions, and development another 1–6 weeks depending on the number of pages and the functionality needed. These are general guidelines — we always work to hit the timeframe you have in mind.
We start with a short discovery call and a brief, then move through strategy, design, development, your review rounds, and launch. You follow progress on our dev server the whole way, so nothing lands as a surprise at the end.
Absolutely, and we encourage it. We build on our development server and give you a login so you can follow progress and send feedback whenever something isn't quite how you pictured it. Once you approve, we push it live.
We give as much latitude as we can. After you've settled on the general layout and colour direction, we complete up to 2 rounds of major revisions at no charge, and all minor revisions are free.
It helps, but it isn't a blocker. We can start on structure and design with placeholder content, and we'll tell you exactly what copy and images we need, and when.
The quickest start is the project inquiry form: a few words about what you're building, your goals, budget and timeline. From there we reply within 1–2 business days and set up a short call.
Pricing & ownership
It depends on scope, so we quote per project rather than sell a one-size-fits-all package. The project inquiry form has budget ranges to get us in the right ballpark, and you get a clear, fixed-scope quote before any work starts.
Yes — projects usually start with a deposit, with the balance tied to agreed milestones. The exact split is spelled out in your fixed-scope quote before anything begins.
Typically hosting, your domain renewal, and optionally a maintenance plan. We lay these out up front so nothing about the running costs is a surprise after launch.
Yes. When the project is delivered and settled, the site and its content are yours — full ownership, no lock-in.
Configuration of your email accounts, basic search-engine optimisation (submission to the major engines plus your core meta titles, descriptions and keywords), and traffic reporting. Every site is also built on search-engine-friendly code from the ground up.
Services
Yes. We build WooCommerce stores with clean checkout flows, correct tax and shipping logic, and product data that stays manageable even with thousands of items.
Basic SEO is included with every build. For ongoing work we offer a full SEO service: technical audits, on-page fixes, content built around real search intent, and monthly reporting you can actually read.
Yes — brand identities, packaging design, and publications / TV work sit alongside our web services, so your logo and your site can be designed to match rather than separately.
Yes. We can rebuild an outdated or underperforming site — keeping what works, fixing what doesn't, and carrying over your content and SEO so you don't lose the ground you've gained.
Yes. For one-off changes we give you an estimate before starting and bill at our standard hourly rate. If you expect regular updates, one of our ongoing maintenance plans is usually more cost-effective.
Yes. We build on a CMS you actually control, so routine text and image changes don't need a developer. We'll walk you through it, and we're here for the bigger changes.
After launch
Yes — three tiers, from a handful of small monthly updates to full ongoing optimisation. Plans typically cover core and plugin updates, backups, security monitoring, broken-link fixes and priority turnaround on urgent items.
Yes. We can set you up on secure cloud infrastructure with your database properly installed and protected — not the shared, hands-off hosting you get elsewhere.
Yes — every site is responsive by default: one build that adapts to desktop, tablet and phone, tested on real device sizes before launch. There's no separate mobile version to maintain.
With a maintenance plan you get priority turnaround on urgent issues, plus regular backups so a bad update is a non-event rather than a crisis. Without a plan, we still help on an hourly basis.
Yes. After launch we walk you through managing your site, and can leave you with simple notes for the tasks you'll handle most often.
Working with us
No. Design, development and marketing all happen in-house, in Athens. The people who scope your project are the ones who build and maintain it — nothing gets stitched together from outside pieces after the fact.
We're an in-house team in Athens and work with clients across Greece and internationally. Most of the work happens online, so location isn't a barrier.
We're based in Athens and work in both Greek and English, and the site itself ships in both.
Email support@wdlab.gr or call us, and a real member of the team (not an outsourced desk) will get back to you.
Flex subscriptions
FlexSite and FlexShop run for a minimum of 12 months. FlexCare (maintenance) has a shorter minimum of 6 months. After that, you can cancel any time — 30 days' written notice for FlexSite/FlexShop, 15 days for FlexCare.
Yes. Once you pass the 12-month minimum, you can buy the site or store outright at a preferential price off what it would have cost as a one-off build.
We reach out as soon as we notice. If a payment stays unpaid for more than 15 days, we may need to pause the site until it's settled — that's a last resort, not a first move.
FlexCare covers technical maintenance — updates, monitoring, backups and fixes within your plan. It doesn't cover issues caused by third-party plugins, malware from outside our care, hosting outages, or changes made outside our system, and it isn't a guarantee of zero downtime or attack-proof security, just a fast, competent response when something happens. Redesigns and new features are quoted separately.
We'll always give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change, so nothing changes on your invoice without warning.
FlexSite and FlexShop include basic technical support to keep things running, but proactive monitoring, more frequent backups and hands-on fixes are a separate FlexCare plan — most people add it once real traffic or sales depend on the site staying up.
No — a store has real extra work behind it (payment gateways, inventory, order flow), so FlexCare has separate Website and Online Store pricing on the same page; pick whichever matches what you're running.
No questions match that. Try another term — or just get in touch.
